Vancouver, British Columbia – Titan Uranium Inc (TSX-V:TUE, FSE:T4X) is pleased to announce that the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Lander WY Field Office has informed Titan that the Sheep Mountain Project Plan of Operations (PoO) is considered to be complete.  BLM’s notice of completeness comes only 4 weeks after supplemental data requested by BLM were submitted by Titan.  The Plan has triggered a requirement under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for BLM to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which will now proceed and which BLM estimates will be completed by the end of 2012.

BLM held public scoping meetings last week in the three Wyoming communities closest to the project, Riverton, Lander and Jeffrey City, as part of their NEPA process to develop the EIS.  There was strong support for the project at these meetings from local residents and elected government officials.  No major were issues identified in this scoping process.  BLM will proceed to work with cooperating agencies developing a draft EIS for public comment.

Titan’s Sheep Mountain Project includes redevelopment of the existing underground Sheep Mountain uranium mine, as well as development of an open pit mine and operation of a uranium heap leach and processing facility, which will be capable of producing up to 2 million pounds of yellowcake per year.

Chris M. Healey, President and CEO of Titan commented; “This acceptance of our PoO as complete is a critical milestone in the permitting process for the mine.  This acceptance keeps the project on schedule for production to commence in late 2013/early 2014.”
