By Press Release (Feb 27,2014) Approval of the Photovoltaic Power Promotion Surcharge (Solar Surcharge) for FY 2014 and the Photovoltaic Power Promotion Surcharge Unit Price
1. The same is applicable to HV and EHV customers.
2. While the consumption tax rate will be raised from 5% to 8% on April 1, 2014, the consumption tax rate applicable to the electricity charge for April will be maintained as 5% in principle, as a transitional measure that will be applied under the Consumption Tax Act to those who have been continuously our customers since March 31, 2014 or earlier. Please note that the solar surcharge unit price for FY 2014 will be 0.05 yen irrespective of the consumption tax rate.
We submitted yesterday a request for approval of additional supply conditions not stipulated by the current Terms of Electricity Supply to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in order to apply the "photovoltaic power promotion surcharge (hereafter the "solar surcharge")" to the electricity bills of our customers starting from April 2014. Today, approval was given as requested. The wheeling service provisions have also been approved.
The solar surcharge unit price for FY 2014 (applicable to electricity charges from April 2014 to September 2014) is as follows.
