Today at a meeting of the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA), the draft assessment report about revision for a reactor installation permit for Kashiwazaki-Kariwa NPS Units 6/7 was released to the public. Scientific and technical comments will be invited from the public afterwards.

TEPCO will continue to work diligently and transparently to comply with the NRA inspections. President Kobayakawa said previously at the August 30 NRA meeting that the revitalization of Fukushima, the decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi, and compensation for the accident will be achieved while endlessly striving to improve nuclear power safety, also endeavoring to further safety improvement and reliability at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station.
