Actual Gas Sales volume in June 2016 Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. Gas Sales Volume for the month June 2016

Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of June 2016 came to about 1,112.15 million m3, almost equal to that in June 2015 (up 0.6% from June 2015).

In the residential sector, volume totaled 194.274 million m3, up 9.9% from June 2015, due to lower average temperature*1, leading to the increased demand for water-heating.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 183.159 million m3, almost equal to that in June 2015 (down 0.4% from June 2015), although the number of customers is increased with integrating affiliated companies*2.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 556.289 million m3, down 1.2% from June 2015, due to the decreased demand of the power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 178.429 million m3, down 1.8% from June 2015, due to the change of the volume counting method as the result of integrating the affiliated companies (the volumes of the affiliated companies are counted as the relevant volumes of Tokyo Gas)

*1 The weighted average of temperature through each customer's metering days (from previous metering day to that of this month)

*2 Affiliated companies (Chiba Gas, Tsukuba Gakuen Gas and Miho Gas) were integrated into Tokyo Gas on May 1st, 2016
