Announcement of Establishment of the "Tokyo Gas Real Estate Holdings++"Today, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Mr. Michiaki Hirose, "Tokyo Gas") has determined to establish the holdings company, "Tokyo Gas Real Estate Holdings Co., Ltd., (here in after "TG Real Estate HD")*1, in April, 2017, for supporting one of its businesses, "The Urban Development Services"*2..
At the establishment, Tokyo Gas will transfer its equities related to the business, Tokyo Gas Urban Development Co., Ltd., ("TGUD") and Tokyo Gas Site Development Co., Ltd., ("TGSD"), to the TG Real Estate HD.
Currently, regarding the real estate business in Tokyo Gas Group, TGUD is offering the services related to real estate management and development for some mid- and small-scale sites, and TGSD is offering the services related to the development and administration for our 4 big scale sites (Toyosu, Gofukubashi, Ginza and Tamachi).
From April, 2017, we will launch the sole parent company of the above 2 companies to manage the business, such as planning its strategy and managing its risk, integrally and strengthen. And then, Tokyo Gas Group is making further contribution to the urban development plans. At the establishment, the part of the services in the Real Estate Management Department in Tokyo Gas will be moved to the company.
To achieve the goals, "To evolve into the total energy business" and "To accelerate global business development", set in "Main Policies FY2015-2017" to realize the "Challenge 2020 Vision" released in October 2014, Tokyo Gas Group is "reconstructing the group itself" not to overlook creating new sources of earnings flow with the advancing centralization of the necessary management resources of personnel, technology and know-how.

*1 At this transfer, Tokyo Gas will receive the corporate shares of TG Real Estate HD.
*2 "The Urban Development Service" is the real estate business service. Tokyo Gas Group is going to contribute to community-based energy proposal and town planning by leveraging and maintaining own real estate.
