In the Project, Alaska Gasline Development Corporation play the role to treat the natural gas produced from the North Slope gas field in Alaska, USA, and to transport the gas to the Nikiski LNG terminal and to liquefy the gas. The Project will provide the LNG of around 20 million ton per annum.

Tokyo Gas have strong good relationship with the State of Alaska, USA since 1969 when Tokyo Gas became the first Japanese buyer of Alaskan LNG to commence the LNG history in Japan*1. We recognize that the coming year "2019" is the 50th anniversary of the history of relationship between the State of Alaska and Tokyo Gas.

Tokyo Gas will continue to work aggressively to realize further diversification and expansion of resources suppliers and overseas business domains in the Challenge 2020 Vision, with the consideration of the balance of our supply conditions, stable supply, affordable price and flexibility, while promoting three diversifications, our LNG procurement strategies, with a view of purchasing LNG from the Project and participating other businesses.
