Despite tough conditions in Australia's mining and resources sector, Toll Energy is proving itself to be a resilient presence in the marketplace with the recent extension of its contract with integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company Arrow Energy.

Toll Energy has provided logistics support for Arrow Energy's gas field exploration and development operations in Queensland's Bowen Basin since 2014, including transport of CSG stores from international and domestic locations to warehouses in Dalby and Moranbah - manned and operated by Toll Energy - and the provision of water services for its sites.

The contract scope has been extended to include crane lift operations.

Toll Energy Supply Chain Manager for Queensland and New South Wales, Peter Runge, said that securing additional work with a major customer like Arrow Energy was a testament to Toll's resilience despite the challenging market.

'There has been a significant downturn across the Australian resources sector, including the coal seam gas industry. Major projects have progressed past the construction phase to the export phase, which has impacted requirements for logistics services,' said Mr Runge.

'The continuation - and extension - of our partnership with Arrow Energy demonstrates Toll's strength, not only in the energy sector but also in the relationships we build with our customers, and that is definitely something we are proud of.'

Safety is a strategic priority shared by both Toll and Arrow Energy; protecting the safety of employees and the communities in which they operate drives decisions for both businesses, and is one of the reasons Arrow Energy continues to work with Toll.

Arrow Energy currently delivers almost 20 per cent of Queensland's gas supply from its five CSG fields across the state.
