Munich, Germany and Bottighofen, Switzerland, 10 May 2017 - After roughly four years as CEO at HolidayCheck AG, Anja Keckeisen will leave the company at her own request at the end of June. She plans to return to South Germany for family reasons. Her successor, Christoph Ludmann (35), was appointed by the Board of Directors with effect from 1 July 2017.

Christoph Ludmann joined the hotel rating and booking portal HolidayCheck in 2006 and currently holds the position of Director Online Marketing. An experienced marketing specialist, he studied politics and administration at the University of Constance.

Georg Hesse, CEO of the parent company HolidayCheck Group AG, expressed his regret at Anja Keckeisen's decision to leave: 'The passion and commitment she has shown towards HolidayCheck AG and its workforce have been a key factor behind the successes of recent years and have helped us progress rapidly towards our goal of becoming the most holidaymaker-friendly company. We wish her all the very best for the future. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome an outstanding successor from our own ranks. Christoph Ludmann knows the company from the bottom up and is well placed to take over the baton from Anja Keckeisen. He has a profound understanding of marketing and technology issues and is very well connected within the industry. He has just the right combination of skills needed to harness the talents of HolidayCheck AG's workforce and develop it into the most holidaymaker-friendly company in the world.'

Anja Keckeisen explained that her decision to leave had been a very difficult one: 'I have always enjoyed being a part of HolidayCheck, not least because of its brilliant and motivated team and the trust and support I've had throughout my time here from the Management Board. I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has worked alongside me during this exciting period, and of course I wish my successor Christoph Ludmann and all the team at HolidayCheck continued success and all the best.'

Following his appointment to the position of CEO at HolidayCheck AG, Christoph Ludmann said that he was very much looking forward to the new challenge: 'I would also like to thank the Board of Directors of HolidayCheck AG and the Management Board of HolidayCheck Group AG for the confidence they have shown in me.'
