Christoph Schuh, whose Management Board responsibilities at TOMORRROW FOCUS AG cover the Subscription and Publishing segments, will step down on 31 December 2015 as the company's strategic realignment process comes to a successful conclusion.

In 2014 both the Management Board and Supervisory Board of TOMORROW FOCUS AG decided to concentrate the company's business activities exclusively on the Travel segment. Following this decision, all the non-travel subsidiaries for which Christoph Schuh had responsibility on the Management Board were sold in 2014 and 2015. TOMORROW FOCUS AG plans to use the resulting cash inflows to generate further growth in the Travel segment's main sales platforms HolidayCheck and Zoover.

Christoph Schuh is one of the three-strong management board team that founded TOMORROW INTERNET AG and oversaw the company's successful flotation in 1999. The present company emerged in 2001 from a merger between TOMORROW INTERNET AG and FOCUS Digital AG. Christoph Schuh initially held the position of Chief Marketing Officer on the new company's management board. Later he assumed responsibility for all non-travel operations of the company. In this role he was responsible for acquisitions and new formations (e.g. ElitePartner, jameda, AdJug, The Huffington Post and NetMoms) and took on various supervisory and other board-level positions. Up to mid-2015 he also chaired VDZ, the umbrella organisation of German magazine publishers.

He was responsible for the disposals made necessary by the new strategy. In the current financial year alone, the income from these sales has totalled roughly EUR 100 million.

Supervisory Board Chairperson Stefan Winners expressed his regret at the Management Board Member's departure: 'Over all these years, Christoph Schuh has played a crucial role in shaping TOMORROW FOCUS AG. He is an internationally recognised expert, networker and dealmaker across a huge range of digital business models and has contributed significantly to the company's present value. On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and offer our best wishes for his future career.'

Christoph Schuh also reflected on his time at TOMORROW FOCUS AG: 'I look back with much gratitude on the last 16 years. It has been a hugely exciting, varied and challenging experience. It has also been a great pleasure to work with such a diverse range of digital business models and a brilliant team. Now that the assets in my charge have been sold, I believe I have successfully completed my mission. I am looking forward to a short break with my family before taking on new business challenges.'

The new Management Board will include existing members Timo Salzsieder (COO) and Dr Dirk Schmelzer (CFO). They will be joined by TOMORROW FOCUS AG's new CEO, Georg Hesse, who will take up his position on 1 January 2016.
