I am honored to receive this award on behalf of Toshiba. We are taking initiative to realize a human smart community, and envision a future where people live in a safe, secure, and comfortable society. Smart meters and advanced metering system, the AMI system, are key technologies to realizing this.
Receiving this award represents a significant milestone in our efforts, and we will build on it with an integrated smart grid system business in Asia Pacific.

Toshiba and Landis+Gyr are excited to start AMI system operation for Japan largest utilities company, Tokyo Electric Power, TEPCO, in February 2015, four months from now. By 2020, we will have world largest communications system, with a maximum 27 million endpoints.
We aim to realize smart grid solutions for distribution and transmission networks with our AMI system and Toshiba's MicroEMS and Battery Energy Storage systems.
There are many challenges in maintaining the innovation needed to continue to provide leading-edge technology and solutions, and today's award will drive us to further enhance our business.
