Trace starts implementation of a significant project in Serbia

Prof. dr. Zorana Mihajlović, Deputy prime minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in the Government in Serbia together with H.E. Axel Dittmann - Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Serbia attended the start of works on the construction of new plumbing water supply and sewerage system in the Municipality of Vranje. Contractor of the project is Trace PZP Vranje, a subsidiary of 'Trace Group Hold' PLC in Serbia, in partnership with the French company Sade. The project is funded by the German Bank KfW.

The ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Serbia Axel Dittmann stressed out that all cities and municipalities in Serbia should have well organized infrastructure and water supply system. 'This is a very important project. Other projects for water supply and sewerage systems will be also implemented, as well as projects for construction of treatment plants', stated Ambassador Dittmann and added: 'In Serbia and Germany there are reliable partners.'

Speaking to reporters, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Zorana Mihajlović announced that the reconstruction of the plumbing water supply and sewerage system is the beginning of intended projects with KfW Bank in the municipal infrastructure of Vranje and clarified: 'The total value of the investment in the region is 30 million euros. All projects are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.' Minister Mihajlović did not hide her belief that the contractor will implement the project quality and on time. Later Minister Mihajlović published the event in her personal Facebook page.

Dipl. Eng. Predrag Spasov, Executive Director of Trace PZP Vranje, shared that the replacement of the old concrete plumbing water supply and sewerage system will solve the longstanding problem of water supply for 80,000 residents in the municipality.

Construction - installation works on the project include excavation works, installation of pipes, construction of connecting distribution shafts, strengthening the riverbed, etc. It is expected that Trace PZP Vranje will complete the construction works in the early 2017.

On the territory of the Republic of Serbia 'Trace Group Hold' PLC is working on three projects with international significance and on another 50 with regional importance.
