TransAct® Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq: TACT) (“TransAct” or “the Company”), a global leader in software-driven technology and printing solutions for high-growth markets, announced today that the Company will demonstrate its full range of AccuDate™ restaurant solutions – including the all-new AccuDate XL2e and its lineup of TransAct labels – at the National Restaurant Association ("NRA") Show 2018, to be held on May 19‐22, 2018, at McCormick Place (Booth #6057) in Chicago, Illinois. The more than 60,000 attendees at the world’s largest restaurant industry trade show will learn first-hand how AccuDate from TransAct is positioned to transform back-of-house operations for restaurants and foodservice operators alike and how TransAct has become a one-stop shop for all their food safety, operations and labeling needs.

“TransAct has established itself as the leading provider of food safety and restaurant operations terminal solutions and we are proud to return to NRA 2018 in Chicago where we will display our ongoing commitment to the marketplace with an expanded lineup of offerings for customers of all sizes,” said Bart Shuldman, Chairman and CEO of TransAct Technologies. “We’ve heard consistently from customers that our AccuDate terminals are becoming a critical component of their daily back-of-house workflows and we are excited to debut the new TransAct Enterprise Management System (“TEMS”) for the new AccuDate XL2e which will take our leading terminal solution to the next level by enabling true enterprise-class software functionality and security. The addition of the AccuDate XL2e and TEMS to our restaurant solutions portfolio will allow operators to more closely control their terminal deployments and ensure they are used exactly as intended, making them the game-changing back-of-house innovation for operators looking to manage their costs and efficiencies. In addition, we will demonstrate the power of the AccuDate XL2e to integrate directly into existing software ecosystems created by partners such as CrunchTime and Jolt as well as our unparalleled AccuDate label offerings. The entire TransAct team looks forward to continuing our work with customers and partners across the restaurant and foodservice landscape.”

AccuDate XL2e and TransAct Enterprise Management System are the Enterprise-Class Solution of Choice

TransAct will debut at NRA 2018 the all-new AccuDate XL2e, a rugged, splash resistant, Android-based terminal designed to function reliably in harsh kitchen environments. It features an easy-to-read 9.7-inch LCD touch screen, a full range of built-in connectivity options (including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB), and two easy-to-clean internal TransAct high speed thermal label printers that offer a straight paper path for simple loading.

Setting the AccuDate XL2e is the debut of the enterprise-class TransAct Enterprise Management System, a smart software suite that introduces an array of features and functions – including TransAct TrueLock™ and the TransAct SmartPanel™ – to this unique new solution. TransAct TrueLock™ allows IT teams to ensure that their AccuDate XL2e terminals run only approved apps and functions, thus removing the security risk represented by unfettered employee access to browsers or other apps which have the potential to endanger corporate networks and customer data. At the same time TEMS enables the remote management of AccuDate XL2e terminals, facilitating the ability to push over-the-air operating system updates directly to the terminal and making it easy to manage security updates and patches. Furthermore, a quick swipe of the AccuDate XL2e screen gives users full access to the TransAct SmartPanel™, a single interface where system settings and preferences are adjusted.

The combined solution will be on full display at the Company’s booth as TransAct demonstrates its ability to dramatically improve food safety labeling accuracy, food production and inventory management, timers, HAACP-compliant temperature monitoring and overall back-of-house operations. NRA 2018 attendees will also preview a number of new uses for the AccuDate XL2e thanks to innovative partner technologies as TransAct brings several critical functions and capabilities to the terminal for the first time, including temperature monitoring, food production and inventory management, task lists and procedures, and the delivery of training materials directly to the kitchen.

Software Partners Complete the AccuDate XL2e Solution

The incredible software offerings from the Company’s technology partners – including CrunchTime! Information Systems and Jolt – make the AccuDate XL2e an indispensable part of restaurant and foodsafety operators’ daily workflows. KitchenSync™ from CrunchTime is an Android-based app designed to fully integrate the AccuDate XL2e with CrunchTime’s leading back-office restaurant management platform to create a holistic information environment. Operators can connect the prep planning and recipe display functionality of the AccuDate XL2e with their back-office platform to power their sales forecasts and inventory and purchasing activities, leveraging intra-day POS transactions and historical consumption patterns to more effectively manage daily business plans. KitchenSync also displays recipe information, preparation instructions, plating instructions, recipe pictures, video, cost information, nutritional information, and allergen information. With Jolt, operators get access to a cloud-based software solution which can handle food expiration date labeling, grab ‘n go labeling, account management, analytics and the distribution of training video, recipe cards and other media. The cloud-based administration tool also allows users to centrally manage menu items, label design, training videos and recipe cards, at a corporate, regional or even local level.

Labels Create a One-Stop Shop for All Restaurant Solutions Needs

TransAct’s display at NRA 2018 will include the Company’s full lineup of AccuDate-branded labels which provides restaurant and foodservice operators with a one-stop shop for all of their restaurant solutions needs.
