Transneft' AK : Pilot operation of automated system for data acquisition and work monitoring on petroleum products trunk pipelines completed in Transneft Druzhba

Pilot operation of the automated system for data acquisition and work monitoring on petroleum products trunk pipelines of Transneft (PPTP AS DAWM) has been completed in Transneft Druzhba. The system that already exists on the trunk pipelines was updated with a functionality that allows the monitoring of repair operations on petroleum products trunk pipelines.

The introduction of the new functionality was required after the integration of two new subsidiaries - Bryansk and Syzran Regional Petroleum Products Departments in the structure of Transneft Druzhba.

The work of users with the system at the test stage included: entry of data on the progress of repair operations on petroleum products trunk pipelines; checking of data in AS DAWM for the compliance with the consolidated data that were acquired in the existing systems for acquisition of data on the progress of repair operations on PPTPs; optimization of the interactions of users at the level of Transneft subsidiaries and Transneft head office; and receipt of PPTP AS DAWM users'comments and proposals on the system development.

The system was put into continuous service in July. The task of users is to enter the data on the progress of repair operations on PPTPs.

The new functionality was introduced in accordance with the approved Programme on pilot operation of the functionality for data acquisition and work monitoring on petroleum products trunk pipelines in PPTP AS DAWM.
