Transneft Western Siberia, JSC evaluate the interim results of Energy Saving and Efficiency Improvement Programs implementation in January-July of 2017. The optimization of oil transportation processes provided actual energy savings amounting to approximately 1250.76 thousand kWh.

An electric motor has been replaced with higher efficiency equipment at Kashtan oil pump station (NPS) of Novosibirsk Regional Oil Pipeline Department (RPD) within the scope of Energy Saving for Electrical Equipment. The work was completed in June of 2017. In addition, two motors will be replaced in September at Rybinskaya line operation dispatcher station (LODS) of Krasnoyarsk RPD, and four more in December at Abatskaya NPS of Ishim RPD. Fencing structures with reduced heat conductivity have been installed at Anzhero-Sudzhensk LODS of Novosibirsk RPD within the framework of energy saving in thermal energy generation.

The major portion of activities within the Energy Saving and Efficiency Improvement Programs implemented at the facilities of Transneft Western Siberia, JSC are planned to be executed in the fourth quarter of this year. Systems for automated temperature control on the basis of the indoor temperature of the premises day zones are installed in the production premises of Omsk, Krasnoyarsk and Ishim RPD as part of the preparation of company facilities for the fall-winter period. Besides, repair and replacement of thermal insulation with the application of modern thermal insulation materials have been completed at the thermal networks of the Omsk Branch. The purpose of applying new types of thermal insulation is the minimization of heat exchange with the environment. It allows to reduce thermal energy losses and the costs of heating and production processes. In September company specialists will complete the reconstruction of cathode protection stations in the responsibility area of Rybinsk LODS and Poimenskaya NPS of Krasnoyarsk RPD. New types of anode earth conductors are used within the scope of works.

In addition, large-scale replacement of lighting fixtures and floodlights with LED lights is scheduled to be conducted at the facilities of all Branches of Transneft Western Siberia, JSC in December of 2017. A total of approximately 4.917 lights will be installed. According to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the transition to energy efficient technologies in lighting is one of the most cost-effective means of reducing energy costs. Thus, the light output of modern LED fixtures is over 100 lm/W, and their energy efficiency exceeds that of incandescent lamps 10-fold, and that of fluorescent lamps - 2.5 to 3-fold. Annual savings achieved by the implementation of this measure will amount to approximately 30.74 thousand kWh.
