TRAVELCENTERS OF AMERICA LLC TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of the TA® and Petro Stopping Centers® travel center brands, has announced Tom Liutkus, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for TravelCenters, as the new Board President of St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund (SCF).
The SCF board oversees policy, administration and most importantly, growing the charity’s impact to those in need.
“We understand how significant SCF is to truck drivers in need, providing relief and peace of mind to drivers who may be devastated by sickness or injury,” said Tom O’Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters. “Our commitment to the truckers and to SCF is not just financial, but shows in our actions and our time commitment as well. SCF’s mission is to help drivers tend to their health and focus on returning to work; these goals are consistent with our goals of treating professional drivers with the respect they deserve. Tom Liutkus has shown a strong personal commitment to these goals, and I am certain his service as SCF President will further all of these goals,” O’Brien continued.
The SCF has helped more than 1,200 drivers and distributed almost $1 million in funds thanks to generous donations from drivers and the industry. TA and Petro have worked to help raise more than $1.3 million.

Tom Liutkus has been with TravelCenters for 13 years. In his current role leading the Marketing and Public Relations team at TA, he works on developing and executing programs and initiatives that enhance driver experience at TA and Petro locations, boost the image of the truck driver and foster a sense of respect for the job done by truck drivers.
