Travelers (NYSE: TRV) today announced that it has once again been named to the Best for Vets list by Military Times. The company was recognized for its military-friendly hiring practices, benefits, training opportunities, and corporate culture. The ranking is based on an annual survey that analyzes an employer’s commitment to hire and retain veterans.

“We’re proud to be recognized for another year by Military Times,” said John Clifford, Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Travelers. “We value the experiences, skill sets, and knowledge of service members, and we place a great emphasis on giving those employees the tools needed to succeed during and after their transition to Travelers.”

Travelers supports veterans and military personnel in a number of ways, including:

  • Providing mentors through a program led by American Corporate Partners, an organization dedicated to helping veterans transition from the armed forces into the civilian workforce;
  • Working with groups such as AcademyWomen, an organization that helps women from the nation’s officer development programs reach their full potential as leaders; and
  • Providing employees with access to a Military and Veterans Diversity Network, an internal resource group that focuses on supporting military and veterans and promoting their career development.

Travelers has also been recognized as a Top 100 Military-Friendly Employer by G.I. Jobs since 2007, and was named this year to Veteran Recruiting’s list of Top 10 Vet Friendly Employers.
