ATHENS, GREECE--(Marketwired - Dec 18, 2015) -  Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. or the Company (NYSE: TNP), a leading crude, product and LNG tanker operator, today announced that the CEO of the Company, Nikolas P. Tsakos is scheduled to appear on Bloomberg TV and Radio today Friday, December 18, 2015.

The TV interview will be in the program "Bloomberg Markets" with Scarlet Fu at 12:30pm ET and the radio interview will follow in the program "Bloomberg Taking Stock" with Kathleen Hays and Pimm Fox at 3:45pmET.

Both interviews will focus on the impact lower oil prices have on the world economy and trade and will also discuss the tanker market, which currently has strong fundamentals.

Nikolas P. Tsakos is also Chairman of INTERTANKO, the independent owners tanker association. As of January 2015, the organisation had 204 members, whose combined fleet comprises some 3,077 tankers totalling over 270 million dwt. INTERTANKO's associate membership stands at some 236 companies related to the tanker industry. INTERTANKO stands for safe transport, cleaner seas and free competition.

To date, TEN's fleet, including two VLCCs, an LNG carrier, nine Aframax crude oil tankers, a Suezmax DP2 shuttle tanker and two LR1 tankers all under construction, consists of 65 double-hull vessels, a mix of crude tankers, product tankers and LNG carriers, totaling 7.2 million dwt. Of these, 47 vessels trade in crude, 13 in products, three are shuttle tankers and two are LNG carriers. In addition, TEN has an option to construct another Suezmax DP2 shuttle tanker.
