• Generation change at Italian TUI subsidiary Viaggi del Turchese: Marco Amos will be the new Managing Director
  • Long-time Managing Director Adriana Bosco and CFO Gianluigi Inzani will hand over the management of the company in April

Italy is already one of Europe's top 5 holiday destinations for the customers of the TUI Group. In future, the world's leading tourism group will continue to expand its core business here with hotels and cruises. It will be the responsibility of Marco Amos (49), who will become the new Managing Director of the Italian TUI subsidiary company Viaggi del Turchese as of April. He will be taking over the role from Adriana Bosco (69) who is retiring. Furthermore, TUI is planning to develop Italy as a market to win new customers for its hotels, cruises and holidays. As a result, Italy will belong to a group of countries such as Spain, Portugal, Brazil and China, which are already holiday destinations for TUI and are being consistently developed as markets to win new customer segments. In Italy, this will take place not only in the traditional tour operator business, but also digitally, on the basis of an online platform, and through the global expansion of the strong TUI umbrella brand.

Marco Amos is currently Project Manager TUI Italy at TUI Switzerland. Since October 2017, he has been supporting Martin Wittwer, CEO of TUI Switzerland, in expanding the business in the Italian market for the TUI Group, and thereby benefitted from his many years of experience in tourism and his bilingual skills. 'I wish Marco Amos every success in his new role and look forward to continuing a successful cooperation', says Wittwer.

After more than thirty years of involvement with Viaggi del Turchese, Adriana Bosco (69) will hand over the management of the Italian subsidiary of TUI in April of this year and will retire. 'We would like to thank Adriana Bosco for her many years of commitment. She has built up Viaggi del Turchese and has made a significant contribution to the successful operation of the TUI brand in Italy since the end of 2016', says Martin Wittwer, who, in addition to his role as CEO of TUI Switzerland, will also take over as the new CEO of Viaggi del Turchese. Also in April, CFO Gianluigi Inzani (64) will be retiring.
