CLIN D'OEIL: BACK WITH ITS 'PINK' ISSUE

Montreal, September 7, 2017 - For the 12th consecutive year, Clin d'œil is partnering with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation as it publishes its 'Pink' issue and pursues its initiative to sell jewelry for the cause, in collaboration with the Jean Coutu retail network and Caroline Néron.

In 2017, Share the V for Victory

Businesswoman and advocate Caroline Néron has once again renewed her association with Clin d'œil to create jewelry for the 2017 campaign. This year's collection includes 3 pieces: the classic women's necklaces and bracelets, and, following last year's success, a men's bracelet.

The necklace features a V-shaped pendant, inspired by the symbol of femininity, with the words 'espoir' (hope), 'force' (strength) and 'courage' inscribed on the three faces of the pyramid. These words can also be found on the stones adorning the men's bracelet. 'In this context, a person with strength is defined as someone who can shed tears for a certain time, but then get back on their feet and fight with hope and courage,' explains Caroline Néron.

The 'V for Victory' slogan associated with this 2017 campaign was chosen because of the V-shaped design and the power of those three words. It evokes strength of character, a positive attitude and a hopeful outlook, in keeping with our ultimate goal of defeating breast cancer - a goal that seems within reach, now more than ever.

A Commitment That Makes a Difference

Now in newsstands, the Pink issue of Clin d'œil magazine includes touching interviews reflecting the solidarity of our 2017 ambassadors, Kim Rusk and Joey Scarpellino. Readers will also find inspiring testimonials from celebrity guests, a 'shopping for the cause' section, and an updated look at breast cancer 'by the numbers'.

'Clin d'œil is proud to support the fight against breast cancer,' declares Lyne Robitaille, Senior Vice President, Newspapers, Books & Magazines. 'The Pink issue is a way for us to inspire women to keep their heads up in the face of the disease. Each year, it's an honour for us to work with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation in order to create a movement that benefits the cause. In 2016, we raised over $350,000 through this initiative, and this year, we hope the public at large will once again join the movement to help us beat cancer.'

Clin d'œil magazine and its various partners have so far donated over $1.5 million to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.

People Helping People

'The Foundation can count on loyal partners who, year after year, make exceptional contributions to this cause, which touches so many Quebec families,' adds Nathalie Tremblay, Chief Executive Officer of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. 'With the impressive amounts of money they've raised, Clin d'oeil, Jean Coutu and Caroline Néron have created a highly successful and impactful campaign that significantly transforms the daily lives of many cancer patients, as well as their loved ones.'

The jewellery is available while supplies last in all affiliated Jean Coutu branches across Quebec, as well as in Caroline Neron shops and at carolineneron.com. All profits from the sales will be given to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation*.

*The Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation will receive $5 for each bracelet sold, and $15 for each necklace sold.
