New York, NY - February 10, 2017 - 21st Century Fox today named Thomas Gaissmaier to the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. In this position, he will work closely with senior management and human resources leaders across the business to help drive the ongoing transformation of the company and its people.

Mr. Gaissmaier starts on March 1 and will be based at the company's New York headquarters.

He will report to Executive Chairman Lachlan Murdoch and CEO James Murdoch, who jointly commented:

Mr. Gaissmaier joins 21CF from The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he led the Human Resource practice in North America and was a member of the global leadership team of the People & Organization practice. In this role, he supported a number of large-scale transformations and integrations for companies in the media, consumer products and health care spaces. In addition, he co-authored a report titled 'Creating People Advantage,' among others. Prior to his 16-year career at BCG, he was a television and radio news reporter and producer in his native Germany.

Mr. Gaissmaier has a Master's of Political Science, Journalism and Law from the University of Hamburg, and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.
