Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today reported that two additional California courts have selected Tyler to implement Odyssey eFileCA™. The Superior Courts of Alameda and Santa Cruz join seven other California courts that are already using eFileCA to reduce costs, simplify filing processes and save paper.

Odyssey eFileCA is a Tyler-hosted solution that allows users to file documents online with courts across the state 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Tyler’s experience is that more than 50 percent of attorneys and filers file across multiple courts, so as more California courts use eFileCA the benefit to filers of a single, unified e-filing portal across the state increases.

Both superior courts previously procured Tyler’s Odyssey® integrated court case management system using California’s Master Services Agreement (MSA) which allows the state’s 58 superior courts to purchase Odyssey with pre-negotiated terms, pricing and conditions. Currently, 25 California Superior Courts have selected Tyler’s Odyssey court management solution to handle a wide variety of case types. California is the 12th state to implement the Odyssey File & Serve™ solution, which is the platform used for Odyssey eFileCA, Odyssey eFileGA™ and eFileTexas™. Tyler’s e-filing platform has 300,000 registered users and processes more than 6 million transactions annually.

Alameda Superior Court is the eighth-largest court in California and has approximately 675 employees and 70 judicial officers. Alameda County, home to the city of Oakland, is located on the east side of the San Francisco Bay and has a population of more than 1.5 million. Santa Cruz County has a population of approximately 262,000 on the Pacific coast and forms the northern coast of Monterey Bay.

Overall, Odyssey serves more than 100 million residents, a third of the U.S. population, in more than 600 counties across 22 states. With more than 550 full-time employees dedicated to courts and justice solutions, Tyler has the capability to manage dozens of Odyssey client implementations concurrently. In 2014, Tyler staff converted 33 million cases, 64 million parties and almost $4 billion in payments for clients moving to Odyssey from other systems.
