ElectriCities of North Carolina recognized at Tyler's annual Connect user conference

ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc., was recently named the 2018 Tyler Technologies Incode® Partner of the Year at Tyler's annual Connect user conference, April 23-25 in Boston, Massachusetts. ElectriCities was recognized for its ongoing partnership with Tyler to provide utility billing software to its member cities.

'Over the past two years, we have developed a strong partnership with ElectriCities,' said Dane Womble, president of Tyler's Local Government Division. 'Its main goal is to serve, consult and advise its member cities, as well as provide technology services. They do this extremely well. Due to their collaborative approach, as well as their commitment to service excellence with Tyler and our joint clients, they were selected as Tyler's Incode Partner of the Year.'

Recognizing the demand for a scalable, affordable billing solution for its members with 2,000 to 25,000 metered customers, ElectriCities selected Tyler's Incode software as the preferred vendor and utility billing solution in 2016. In addition to being a strong utility software provider for ElectriCities members, Tyler also offers financial solutions should its members wish to modernize their older accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

'Tyler's Incode product provides users with an efficient and easy-to-use interface, is capable of meeting the needs of modern utilities for technologies like smart meters, and provides this functionality at a price that small to mid-sized municipal utilities can afford,' said Andy Fusco, ElectriCities vice president of Member Services and Corporate Planning. 'ElectriCities and its members are honored to have won Tyler Technologies' Incode Partner of the Year Award. This award demonstrates the advantages of having many municipal utilities collaborate with Tyler to implement a superior product very quickly and with minimal disruptions during implementation.'

The preferred vendor agreement with Tyler enables ElectriCities to offer Incode at a preferred price and implementation terms to its members. With the agreement, member cities avoid costly and time-consuming RFP processes. To date, seven ElectriCities members have signed agreements to implement Incode.
