Affected product is not sold in stores

Springdale, Ark - June 8, 2018 - Tyson Foods, Inc. is executing a voluntary recall of 3,120 pounds, or 260 cases, of breaded chicken tenderloins after being notified by a supplier that an ingredient sent to Tyson Foods may contain pieces of blue and clear soft plastic. The ingredient was used in production of the foodservice product, Tyson® Uncooked, Breaded, Original Chicken Tenderloins. The recall is limited to foodservice customers, and affected products are not available for purchase in retail stores. No other Tyson Foods products are affected.

Tyson Foods has received no reports of illnesses associated with the affected product, which was produced on May 17, 2018. U.S. Department of Agriculture has classified this as a Class II recall with a low health risk.

Tyson Foods has identified and is working with affected foodservice customers to retrieve and/or remove all recalled products initially shipped to California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan and Minnesota.
