UBM Development : sells major real estate package for EUR 53 million in Austria

UBM Development has successfully finalized a major real estate deal. The portfolio properties near Graz and in Vienna were sold for a total of EUR 53 million. The buyers are a group of Austrian private investors.

'This successful deal demonstrates our ability to sell portfolio properties besides our current developments and further strengthens UBM's claim of being a trade developer', says Michael Wurzinger, COO of UBM Development.

The real estate package comprises a total area of 37,977 square meters and includes five fully-let portfolio properties - three offices and one hotel near Graz as well as an office building including a property in the 11 district in Vienna. UBM had initially developed the three office properties in 2001 and they had been part of UBM's portfolio ever since. The properties are fully-let and accommodate 30 renowned companies. As part of the successful office cluster, the office building in Vienna, which was developed by UBM in 2008, is served by an excellent infrastructure and convinces with a good connection to the 'Süd-Ost Tangente' as well as to the Vienna airport.

Impact of sale on UBM

The sale, which was implemented as an asset deal, will directly impact net debt, total output and revenue in the second quarter of 2017.
