Ukrtelecom refutes false information spread by some media requesting them not to manipulate the facts and data that are currently being discussed in public.

Once again, Ukrtelecom JSC officially states that it has properly and timely fulfilled privatization obligations to create a special telecommunications network (STN). Architecture and functionality of STN are determined by key technical requirements agreed by all special users in the interests of state system of government communications and departmental special communications networks for special users.

As previously reported by the Operator, the allocated STN was built entirely and exclusively at the expense of Ukrtelecom JSC without public funds being allocated and used for its creation. This is confirmed by the corresponding cross checks of ESU LLC and Ukrtelecom JSC conducted by the State Financial Inspection of Ukraine on July 8, 2014.

Ukrtelecom JSC is ready to transfer STN to state ownership at any time, as soon as there is an appropriate mechanism defined and set.

We remind you that, according to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 850-p dated September 17, 2014, State Service of Special Communication Administration must define such mechanism and provide a free transfer of the allocated STN built by Ukrtelecom JSC to state ownership not later than on November 1, 2014.

To avoid misunderstandings, we consider it necessary to mention that Ukrtelecom JSC has no relation to the creation and operation of telecommunications network of access to STN. Telecommunications network of access to STN created by the State Service of Special Communication Administration is a separate facility that has its own manufacturing equipment and its functionality differs from the functionality of STN.
