​Multi-lingual support will be provided from Unisys IT service centers in Colombia and Brazil

Bogotá, Colombia, July 1, 2015 - Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that its subsidiaries in Latin America have won a contract with the Chilean group Cencosud, one of the largest retail conglomerates in Latin America, to provide help desk services to Cencosud IT users in five different Latin American countries: Colombia, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Argentina.

Signed in the first quarter of 2015, the five-year contract represents the first pan-regional level agreement that Cencosud has signed with a technology firm and marks the start of the company's process integration and standardization efforts.

Unisys plans to support more than 70,000 calls per month from its service centers in Bogotá, Colom​bia, which supports Spanish-speaking countries, and in Campo Grande, Brazil, which supports users who speak Portuguese as a native language. In addition, Unisys will provide support from its center in Shanghai to Cencosud users based in China.

"Based on its global best-practices, including handling high volumes of calls, and providing large regional coverage and ongoing support, Unisys offers Cencosud a more efficient solution that adjusts to our current needs, letting us concentrate on the essentials of our businesses," stated Sebastián Cabrera, regional leader of IT User Support Center at Cencosud.
