United Company RUSAL : Ukraine Jan-March Alumina Exports Up 8.2% On Year At 405,910 Tons

Ukraine exported 405,910 metric tons of alumina in January-March, 8.2% more than in January-March 2011, the government reported Monday.
The exported alumina was worth $154.83 million.
Alumina exports in March totaled 134,350 tons, 0.4% more than in February this year and 5.8% more than in March 2011. The alumina exported in March was worth $51.11 million, 0.06% more than in February this year. Most alumina was exported to Russia.
In 2011 Ukraine exported 1.554 million tons of alumina, 7.9% more than in 2010.
Alumina in Ukraine is produced by the Mykolaev Alumina Plant and the Zaporozhye Aluminum Combine, both belonging to UC Rusal (0486.HK).
