On Monday, December 12, UPS will open a local package pick-up counter for thousands of displaced and evacuated Gatlinburg, TN residents to pick up packages that have not been able to be delivered to residential areas due to the devastating wildfires in the region.

UPS understands the important contents of many of the packages we ship, especially at this time of year, such as payroll and holiday gifts. All residential packages - which have been held in our Knoxville, TN facility since November 29 - will be available for pick-up at the local package service center. Packages will be held at this Gatlinburg pick-up counter for one week as UPS ramps up residential deliveries again in the region.

The package pick-up counter is only for Gatlinburg residents expecting deliveries, but who have been displaced from their homes. Residents can track the status or location of UPS packages by visiting UPS Web Tracking or, if they are UPS My Choice® members, by signing into UPS My Choice® for real-time delivery updates. UPS began attempting commercial deliveries to local businesses in the area on December 5.
