United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE:URI) today announced the appointment of Ted Grace as vice president – investor relations, effective immediately. Mr. Grace is responsible for managing communications between the company’s leadership, its investors, and the broader financial community. He replaces Fred Bratman, who will assist with the transition until his upcoming retirement.

Mr. Grace has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services. Most recently, he was a senior analyst with Susquehanna International Group covering the industrial machinery and building materials sector. Prior to Susquehanna, he was a vice president at Avondale Partners with responsibility for the building materials, construction and mining equipment research group; a member of the equity research team at Goldman Sachs & Co.; a member of the natural resources group at Banc of America Securities; and an associate at PaineWebber. He began his career as a financial analyst at Duff & Phelps Corp. Mr. Grace holds a dual bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Bucknell University and a master’s in business administration from Cornell University.
