CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Xi'an AVIC Hamilton Sundstrand Aviation Electric Co., Ltd. (AUAE), a joint venture of UTC Aerospace Systems (through Hamilton Sundstrand Holdings, Inc.) and AVIC Shaanxi Aero Electric Co., Ltd. (AVIC SAEC) today announced that the first set of electric systems has been produced for COMAC's new C919 jetliner, and is scheduled for delivery in November.

UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). AVIC SAEC's parent company, AVIC Electromechanical Company Limited (AVIC EM), is a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).

AUAE is an AS9100C-certified facility that is also manufacturing and delivering power distribution components to UTC Aerospace Systems for other international commercial programs.

AUAE is a 50-50 joint venture established to develop and manufacture electric power systems for COMAC's C919 as well as supply UTC Aerospace Systems equipment for the international market. AUAE opened its new 6,500-sq-meter facility in April 2014.
