The renovated wood floor and a fresh coat of paint were made possible by a $15,000 donation from UnitedHealthcare to Kelce’s Dreambuilders program, which is called Eighty-Seven & Running. Kelce joined UnitedHealthcare executives and school leaders today to unveil the refinished gym floor to hundreds of Maple Elementary students. Following the dedication ceremony and official remarks, Kelce took to the new floor to play games with Maple Elementary students.

“I am very proud that through the work I do with my foundation, Eighty-Seven & Running, I was able to partner with UnitedHealthcare in making sure this important repair was possible,” said Kelce. “Together, we are doing some really important work in the Kansas City area. A safe, new floor was really important to Maple Elementary, and I’m thrilled that the students can stay active and have fun playing together as a team.”

“Thanks to upgrades made possible by the grant we received from UnitedHealthcare and Travis Kelce, we will promote health and well-being within the walls of our beautiful gym,” said Peggy Tiffany, principal of Maple Elementary. “We will encourage sportsmanship and camaraderie, and create champions. But most importantly, we will make memories. We feel so fortunate to have been selected for this award, and we look forward to the many years of memories this grant will enable us to experience. We thank UnitedHealthcare and Travis Kelce for giving us a gift that can truly live on forever.”

“UnitedHealthcare is grateful for the opportunity to partner with Dreambuilders to provide Maple Elementary students with a new gym floor that will help motivate them to exercise and stay healthy,” said Rob Broomfield, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Kansas. “Our partnership with Dreambuilders goes a long way in our communities, and we thank Travis and his foundation for their support.”
