By Vienna, March 25, 2013 +++ TechniSat Digital GmbH, a German manufacturer of high-end consumer electronics such as satellite receivers and HDTV-compatible digital TVs, has rolled out update software AG's mobile CRM solution. Based in Vienna, Austria, update is one of the leading European manufacturers of premium CRM solutions. After launching the Web-based update CRM system in its consumer electronics sector in January 2012, TechniSat went live with update CRMpad in October 2012. update CRMpad was specially designed for the Apple iPad and fully leverages the potential of the user-friendly tablet as a mobile CRM device. update CRMpad makes CRM data available for TechniSat sales representatives online as well as offline - a key benefit when visiting electronics retailers without network access. In the final expansion phase, around 150 sales, marketing and service employees will be working with the update CRM system.
"We opted for update because its CRM software has an extremely flexible data model and can be easily adapted to the needs of our market environment," said Markus Welter, head of CRM at TechniSat. "We were also impressed by the user-friendly interface." Last year TechniSat decided to replace its mobile client update.seven touch with the new update CRMpad with offline capabilities and equip its sales representatives with iPads. The CRM system was installed by longtime update partner Synergy Consultants CRM + Prozesse. "After only two months, the CRM application was completely configured and we were able to go live in October 2012," said Welter. "update CRMpad is largely intuitive and our sales reps were able to get up to speed on it quickly. We are very satisfied with the solution."
While sales representatives used to have to print out customer master sheets before they visited electronics retailers, they now have all the relevant data they need at their fingertips, including contact details and an overview of sales figures. Because retailers that purchase goods directly from TechniSat receive advertising co-op funds proportional to sales, the CRM system also offers virtual accounts that show sales representative how much advertising budget a particular customer has left at a glance so that they can suggest appropriate campaigns. The sales reps now also use the CRM system to manage their appointments: update CRMpad synchronizes automatically with Outlook.
"Our next step is to integrate reports in the CRM system. Our sales representatives will be able to check customers' sales revenue and encourage them to order more products so as to achieve sales targets and receive a customer bonus," said Welter. "We also plan to make it possible for retailers to sign their annual agreements electronically, using update CRMpad.
