Industry-specific, custom-tailored CRM solution: flexible SaaS model

Vienna, 04 June 2013 +++ KPS AG, a Baden-Württemberg based service provider that carries out electrical plant safety inspections throughout Germany, has chosen to deploy update's web-based CRM solution . Vienna-based update software AG customized its industry-specific CRM solution for the construction and manufacturing industries to precisely meet the needs of KPS. KPS opted for update software's SaaS model, with the customized CRM system being hosted by update hosting partner IBM in a data center in Ehningen. In February 2013, some 150 members of KPS's field service team started working with the CRM solution, as did 50 users in the sales, scheduling and order processing departments. KPS is a young company enjoying strong growth, so it was important that the product it selected be scalable. "We opted for update's solution on a SaaS basis because we wanted a CRM system with a powerful standard version so that we could go live as quickly as possible," explains Sascha Müller, CEO at KPS. "The SaaS model has the benefit that we can concentrate 100 percent on our business processes without wasting time unnecessarily on infrastructure issues."

The service team at KPS performs comprehensive safety testing for fixed and mobile electronic tools and materials, devices, installations and machinery. These tests are based on the Ordinance on Industry Safety and Health and include legally valid documentation for a broad spectrum of customers in facility management, hospitals, the manufacturing industry, franchise chains and offices. From KPS's standpoint, update's SaaS model and its special implementation method represent a high-quality solution that is quick to implement, low-risk and future-proof. update's industry-specific CRM solutions minimize the need for adjustments and allow the system to be deployed very quickly. The SaaS model eliminates risks associated with investing in a particular technology as well as implementation and operating costs. At the same time, KPS retains the flexibility to adjust or extend the CRM solution at any time - which, given the strong growth at KPS, was an important criterion in selecting a CRM system.
