Uralkali (LSE: URKA; the Company), one of the world's largest potash producers, announces the key decisions taken by its Board of Directors at a meeting on 5 March 2015.

The Board has approved:

  • Uralkali Group's 2014 consolidated financial accounts, prepared in accordance with IFRS;
  • Uralkali's Development Strategy for 2015-2020;
  • the following investment projects as part of Uralkali's Development Strategy for 2015-2020:
    1. construction of the Ust-Yayvinsky mine;
    2. capacity expansion at Solikamsk-3, 1st stage - construction of shaft No. 4;
    3. construction of a new mine at Solikamsk-2;
    4. KCI loading increase at Berezniki-4;
    5. development of granulation facilities at Solikamsk-3.
  • the list of candidates to be elected to the Board of Directors at Uralkali's Annual General Meeting (AGM). The list of candidates is as follows:

Dmitry Osipov, Member of the Board of Directors and CEO of Uralkali, commented:
"Uralkali's revised capacity development programme for 2015-2020 includes a range of projects to expand existing operations and construct new facilities. Total investments in the period for the development programme will amount to approximately US$ 4.5 billion. Uralkali sees this programme as a priority. We are the industry leader and aim to maintain and strengthen our long-term prospects in the global potash market by increasing our annual production capacity to 14.4 million tonnes by 2020."
