Uralkali has awarded individual scholarship certificates to the ten best students from the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU). The certificates were presented as part of the closing and awards ceremony of the All-Russian student Olympiad at the conclusion of the 5th All-Russian Oil and Gas and Mining Industries Youth Forum. The scholarship recipients study at PNRPU's Oil and Gas and Chemical Engineering departments. Four of the students who have received certificates are studying the Company's target recruitment subjects.

Ruslan Ilyasov, Uralkali HR Director, commented:

'Uralkali seeks to attract promising young professionals to the Company, which is why we actively co-operate with higher and secondary educational institutions. We provide funds and equipment, offer support to the teaching staff and actively promote scholarship programmes to encourage the best students.'

In addition, Uralkali presented commemorative gifts to the winning individual and team competitors in the 'Mining Fundamentals' and 'Mining Machinery and Equipment' disciplines.

Uralkali has awarded individual scholarships to students at higher educational institutions since 2006 as a part of a co-operation agreement between the Company, PNRPU and the Berezniki Branch of the university. The main selection criteria for candidates are high academic achievement, research in Uralkali's field, successful completion of an internship and passion for the profession. The Company also provides funds and equipment to improve the university's facilities and allocates money to research grants for teachers and to equipping educational and research laboratories. In 2016, Uralkali has invested over 10 million roubles in the programme.
