OMZ-Foundry Production, part of OMZ Group, produced unique steel castings for domestic shipbuilding.

This kind of castings has been manufactured by OMZ-Foundry Production for the first time ever and has another complexity of dimensions and larger size.

Castings are meant for three frigates in project 11356 frames which will be constructed at JSC Shipyard Yantar, part of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation in Kaliningrad, Russia. Frigates are completed with steel body castings: mortars, tail posts, bracket bosses, ferrules, component parts of shaft bracket, anchor hawsepipes, etc.

Frigates (2nd rank guard ships according to the Russian classification) are developed by JSC Northern design and construction office in St. Petersburg, Russia. Ships are aimed for aidless war fighting in sea and ocean as well as in squadron as an escort ship.

Over the past few years OMZ-Foundry Production manufactured and shipped to JSC Shipyard Yantar more than 300 tons of steel castings in total for six frigates in project 11356 frames.
