UTi's latest facility, in Irapuato, features an initial 2,500 m2 (27,000 ft2) of multi-client warehousing space with handling capacity of 2,800 pallets and the potential for rapid expansion. The facility enables valued-added contract logistics including VMI, sub-assembly, kitting and other services, such as the development of ship-to-line models, upon request. With convenient access to major highways, it is ideally located in the Bajío area of north-central Mexico, which recently has become a hub for automotive and high-tech/electronics manufacturers and suppliers.
