Beaver Creek, Colo.-March 20, 2014-Beaver Creek will host the last coed telemark workshop of the winter season this Saturday, March 22, providing a social and fun learning environment for all ability level telemark skiers. The workshop offers an opportunity to develop basic technique or refine skills in a relaxed, supportive and fun learning environment. Instruction will be provided by top pros from the Beaver Creek Ski & Snowboard School.   

Coed workshops are geared towards men and women of all abilities, ages 17 and up.  Instructors will be focusing on technique and movement analysis. Participants should be a level 4 alpine skier or above.

Beaver Creek will also host a kids' telemark workshop Sunday March 23. The kids' workshops are for ages 6-14 and participants should be a level 4 alpine skier or above.

All workshops take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and reservations are required.  Participants should meet at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the workshop. Participants needing equipment are encouraged to arrive between 8-8:15 a.m. to allow time for proper fitting. Workshops are $102 per person for the lesson only. The lift ticket and lesson price is $169 per person.  Discounted telemark equipment rentals are available for participants.

Beaver Creek's weekly "Tele Tuesdays" are geared towards beginners and are designed to provide a social gathering where first-time and beginner telemark skiers are introduced to the sport and receive instruction from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  A 'next step' lesson is also offered from 1:15-3:30 p.m. geared towards advanced beginner to low intermediate tele skiers. Tele Tuesdays take place throughout the winter and guests who plan to enroll in either lesson should register at the Nordic Center. A discounted instruction price of $75 per person is offered for the lesson only and discounted equipment rentals are available.
