Today Veidekke Entreprenør has signed a contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration to secure secondary road 7 Lussandberget in Granvin municipality against landslides. The value of the contract is NOK 206 million excluding VAT.

The contract comprises securing a 2.4 kilometre stretch, with open-air stretches of 400 metres at each end and a 1.6 kilometre tunnel in the middle. The road project will ensure practicability for motorists on a landslide-prone stretch and remove a bottleneck on the leg between Øystese and the Kvanndal ferry quay.

This is the third contract in a row for Veidekke to secure road sections along the Hardanger fjord in recent years. Work will begin immediately and is slated for completion in December 2016.
