Veidekke ASA: Cooperation continues between Veidekke and Vitartes

Veidekke Entreprenad has entered into an agreement with Vitartes on continued cooperation concerning the Patienten quarter in Hagastaden in Stockholm. Work will primarily be carried out by Veidekke's subsidiary Arcona. The contract is valued at SEK 950 million.

In the summer of 2016 Veidekke and Vitarte entered into a contract for groundwork, foundations and concrete for the Patienten and Princeton quarters. The current contract is for the construction of the remaining buildings in the Patienten quarter. This is one of two properties in Vitarte's Scandinavian Life Science project. The property will be an Eye Center of Excellence, with St Eriks Eye Hospital as a key tenant. The Patienten quarter is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2020. Work is to be carried out as a design and build contract in collaboration between the parties. The Patienten quarter comprises a total of approx. 42,000 square metres, and is a property for care, research, education and business in Hagastaden.

The project will be built directly adjacent to the main entrance of Nya Karolinska Hospital and partly on top of the existing tunnel on the E4 motorway.
