VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC) today announced that it is in ongoing, productive talks with Major League Baseball (MLB) with a collective goal to ensure that VF’s Easton, Pa., facility continues to produce on-field uniforms for MLB for a very long time. VF’s Easton facility, which employs about 600 workers, currently produces all on-field uniforms for MLB under the Majestic® brand.

VF announced in March 2016 that it was exploring strategic alternatives for its Licensed Sports Group (LSG), a business unit that includes the Majestic® brand, the official on-field uniform provider for MLB. Also included in the company’s LSG business is apparel and fanwear through licensing agreements with U.S. and international professional sports leagues and lifestyle brands.
