Viavi Upgrades Cost-Effective, Scalable, Unified Video Services Assurance (VSA) Platform

October 12, 2015 - Viavi Solutions today introduced release 1.1 of VSA Monitor software for the award-winning VSA platform. The platform provides monitoring and troubleshooting of broadcast, multicast, and unicast video services such as IPTV, VoD, cable TV, and multiscreen. VSA Monitor is a component of the VSA platform and provides web-based access to live and historical RF, MPEG, and ABR measurements.

VSA Monitor release 1.1 supports the following new features:

  • Deep RF measurements combined with video analysis to audit, monitor, and troubleshoot cable headends and hubs - supports the new VSA RF-100
  • New and legacy video probes to provide seamless transitions as you migrate to new form factors
  • HEVC (H.265) codecs in VSA Streaming
