Villa World : Buyers embrace parkland lifestyle at Killara

FIRST home buyers and upsizing families are seizing the opportunity to secure an affordable semi-rural lifestyle at Villa World's new 726-lot Killara community at leafy Logan Reserve.

The emerging bushland-fringed masterplanned community has notched up more than 108 sales and has a further 28 in the pipeline since its launch to the market late last year.

Work is about to begin on Killara's display village precinct, which will give buyers plenty of inspiration and choice with 29 homes from 19 major and boutique builders to inspect.

Villa World development manager Gary Hunter said sales had predominantly been to first-time purchasers and families wishing to swap suburbia for a parkland lifestyle in a semi-rural area.

'They love that they can build their home in Killara's bushland setting while still being close to all the infrastructure, facilities and amenities they need for everyday life,' Mr Hunter said.

'The affordable price point has really galvanized buyers who are seeing that this idyllic yet convenient parkland lifestyle is within their reach.'

To date, almost 95 per cent of the 75 lots in Stage 1 have been snapped up while a third of the parcels in the second release are sold.

Lots in the initial stages of Killara are priced from $181,000 and range in size from 273sqm to 433sqm.

Killara's masterplan will create five boutique precincts with a diverse array of housing product to suit families at varying stages of life.

Residents will be surrounded by parkland, adventure trails, bike tracks and playgrounds.

Construction of the display village precinct at Killara will start in August with completion expected in the first half of 2018.

Builders who will showcase their designs and craftsmanship in the village include boutique builders and a mix of major and local builders.

Located on Chambers Flat Road, Killara is just a short drive from major shopping, primary and secondary schools and Griffith University's Logan campus.
