The new subsidiary of Concha y Toro,VCT Africa & Middle East (PTY) Ltd., will start operating in April. The commercial office will be in Cape Town in South Africa. This new unit will focus its work on commercial matters, and distribution in the African continent will remain through its present associate distributors.

The objectives of this new office will include the building of the brand at the level of the end consumer, mainly promoting the brands Casillero del Diablo, Marques de Casa Concha and Don Melchor, and the distribution of the Trivento brands and those of the recently-acquired Fetzer Vineyards. It also seeks to strengthen long-term relations with the distributors.

With the opening of this commercial office, Concha y Toro becomes the first Chilean winery to be installed in Africa, a market in which it has been working since 2001, with a presence now in 28 countries. The group's sales in this continent reached US$ xxx in 2011 and represent x% of the group's exports, a percentage that has grown strongly in recent years.
