Eduardo Guilisasti receives Wine Intelligence 10 for 10 Business Award The prestigious British consultants Wine Intelligence distinguished Eduardo Guilisasti, CEO of Viña Concha y Toro, with the Wine Intelligence10 for 10 Business Award.

Wine Intelligence, as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, created the Wine Intelligence 10 for 10 Business Awards to recognize ten professionals from around the world who have made significant contribution to the success of the global wine industry over the past decade.

As the 7th recipient of the award, Eduardo Guilisasti joins this year's previous winners including Su Birch, CEO of Wines of South Africa, Wine Journalist, Tim Atkin MW, Chester Osborn, chief winemaker and owner of d'Arenberg, Sir George Fistonich of Villa Maria Estate, Etienne Hugel of Hugel & Fils and Li Demei of the Beijing Agricultural College. The prizes have been awarded throughout the year at different events in different countries, stressing the global character of the winners.

One of the 10 for 10 Business Award Judges said of Mr. Guilisasti: "he has presided over an astonishing period of growth and leadership in the wine industry, while maintaining a universally recognized standard of quality." Another Judge commented "Eduardo has transformed Concha y Toro into one of the most important and respected wine producers in the world, helping to establish Chile as a global player."

In his acceptance speech, Eduardo Guilisasti paid tribute to the Chilean wine industry. "I feel very honoured to be given this award… I'd like share this recognition with the success of the Chilean wine industry as a whole…. For me wine is so unique because it's one of the products that most strongly reflects the distinct environment where it was produced… Chile has much to be proud of in its achievements over the past 10 years, so this [award] is for Chile and especially to our dedicated teams across all productive and commercial areas that promote our wines across the globe."
