Compact Devices Offered in Miniature 0806 and 1008 Case Sizes With Low Profiles Down to 1.0 mm
MALVERN, Pa. - May 27, 2015 - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced a new series of low-profile, high-current power inductors featuring powdered iron cores for high saturation current up to 5.8 A. Lowering costs and saving board space in computer, consumer, and telecom applications, Vishay Dale IHHP series devices are offered in the miniature 2.0 mm by 1.6 mm 0806 and 2.5 mm by 2.0 mm 1008 case sizes, each available with low profiles of 1.0 mm and 1.2 mm.
With their high-current performance and small size, the devices released today are optimized for DC/DC converters and power supply modules in notebook PCs, mobile phones, hard disk drives, SSDs, DVCs, and DSCs. The magnetic-alloy power inductors offer low acoustic noise and provide magnetic shielding to prevent interference with nearby components.
The IHHP-0806AZ-01, IHHP-0806AB-01, IHHP-1008AZ-01, and IHHP-1008AB-01 feature high efficiency with maximum DCR down to 15 mΩ and a wide range of inductance values from 0.22 µH to 10 µH. The devices provide heat rating current up to 5.3 A and operate over a temperature range from -55 °C to +125 °C. The devices are packaged in an RoHS-compliant, 100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded construction.
