Vita 34 takes over Danish StemCare Group
Leipzig, September 8, 2015 - Vita 34 AG (WKN A0BL84) is taking over the business of StemCare Group, Denmark, the leading Scandinavian cord blood bank.
Today the management board signed, with the approval of the supervisory board, the contract to completely take over all operations of the StemCare Group. The final takeover will take place after the fulfillment of all suspensive conditions, among them is the transfer of official permits. The management expects these conditions to be fulfilled in the first quarter of 2016.
The StemCare Group is currently storing about 12,000 stem cell units for clients from Denmark. Sweden, Romania and Turkey. In 2014 StemCare Group generated revenues of EUR 1.6 million. With this takeover Vita 34 expects the market entry into the Scandinavian market. After the takeover Vita 34 will be active in all European regions and expands its position as the market leader in Europe.
