Leipzig, June 27, 2017 - Vita 34 AG (ISIN: DE000A0BL849; WKN: A0BL84), the second largest stem cell bank in Europe, has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Romanian company Besmax Life Solutions SRL. The long-term partnership is aimed at achieving a relevant market share in the Romanian market. The Romanian market for storages of umbilical cord blood has a total volume of EUR 14 million, roughly equivalent to the German market.

Besmax Life Solutions SRL focuses on stem cells. The company is part of the Life Solutions Group, whose healthcare companies operate in specialty pharmaceutical sales, among other fields. This includes blood reserves, plasma and vaccines for various medical disciplines including gynecology and obstetrics. The partnership therefore offers clear access to childbirth clinics. This is a necessary step to building an efficient logistics network, not only to reach potential customers, but also for the extraction and processing of umbilical cord blood and tissue. In accordance with the cooperation agreement, the production of stem cell preparations from samples taken and cryopreservation are to be carried out at Vita 34 AG in Leipzig.
