Vodafone UK has announced that Scott Petty has joined as Chief Technology Officer, succeeding Jorge Fernandes.

Scott was previously Vodafone Group Technology Enterprise Director, responsible for defining and implementing the Group's Technology strategy for Enterprise, and managing all aspects of Enterprise product development and customer solutions, from design to delivery. Working closely with Vodafone's local markets, including the UK, and our Enterprise Business Units, Scott and his team have focused on creating a great Enterprise customer experience, underpinned by world-class service and digital transformation. During his tenure, Vodafone has secured market leading positions in several areas of Enterprise services, including IoT, fixed network services and unified communications.

Scott joined Vodafone in 2009 from Dimension Data, where he held various positions, including running their Global Services Business and serving as CIO.

Commenting on his appointment, Scott said: 'I'm delighted to be joining Vodafone UK at this exciting time, as we drive forward the likes of artificial intelligence, 5G and full fibre broadband, all of which will power the new digital economy. We aim to be the key enabler of this digital revolution, drawing on our leading position in areas such as IoT and unified communications to transform how businesses operate and how we live our lives.'

As part of these changes, Kye Prigg, who is currently Vodafone UK's Head of Mobile Networks, will also take on responsibility for fixed networks. This is in recognition of Kye's vital role in helping to create Vodafone's most reliable network ever, and will help the business to meet the growing demand for unified communications.
