BlackBerry Experiencing Service Problems -Vodafone

LONDON--Research in Motion Ltd.'s (>> Research In Motion Limited) BlackBerry is experience service problems in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, mobile operator Vodafone Group PLC (>> Vodafone Group plc) said Friday.
The problems are affecting BlackBerry's messenger, email and Internet services, on the same day that Apple Inc. (>> Apple Inc.) starting selling its new iPhone in nine countries.
"Blackberry/RIM have confirmed that they are experiencing issues with services such as BBM, email and Internet and that they are working to fix this," Vodafone said on its U.K. website.
Vodafone hasn't been given an estimated fix time, with Vodafone telling customers who want more information should contact BlackBerry directly.
A Vodafone spokeswoman didn't know the cause of the problem.
